Tasting Notes: Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Clos de la Croix de Pierre (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) wafts from the glass with a lovely bouquet of black raspberries, bergamot and potpourri, framed by a judicious application of toasty new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, supple and satiny, with a charmingly textural attack, tangy acids and a precise, mineral finish. It's a lithe, tensile Pernand that will reward some bottle age.
