Country: Spain, Duero Valley

Tasting Notes: Terreus Paraje de Cueva Baja was cropped from a warm and dry year with very good ripeness and a healthy crop that kept very good acidity. It's a powerful and seductive red with power and clout but also elegance and balance. The grapes fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and day pumping-overs followed by malolactic in oak and 20 months in new and used French oak barrels. It's approachable and quite complete, keeping the balance, freshness and poise.

Wines crafted by the legendary, former winemaker of the iconic Bodegas Vega Sicilia winery. Mariano Garcia managed this legendary estate from 1968 to 1998 and todays offer is a curated selection of wines made by this revered winemaker. The first, Bodegas Mauro is a tribute to his father whilst Bodegas Garmón is named after his sons. Both wines express his heritage and commitment to the classic Ribera del Duero style and both are perfectly balanced, with generous bouquets and a finish of unique finesse that is indicative of this master winemaker.
